BAXTER - Brainerd keeper Matt Sather had to make only five saves but the Warriors lost to the Sartell Sabres 2-0 in Central Lakes Conference play Thursday at Southdale Field.

The Warriors were outshot 7-5 as they slipped to 3-2-0 in conference play, 3-3-0 overall.

"They played a nice game," Warriors coach Cahil Collins said of Sartell. "They're a very solid team. They have one guy (Josh Rostad) up top who's pretty fast. He's the one who scored their two goals. Both goals, in essence, he got behind our defense, outran our guys and put the ball in the net.

"Otherwise, it was really a good battle."
