Music General dancers Matt Capelle, Alex Kuhn, Allison Potvin and Natalie Potvin attended SLIDE, the premier classic tap event hosted by famed tap dancer and choreographer Mike Minery on Aug. 11-17 in New York City.

The dancers attended intensive tap workshops with students from all over the United States for four hours a day, followed by six and a half hours of show rehearsals at the Crowne Plaza Suites in Times Square. Tap classes were taught by Minery, Gil Stroming, Josh Hilberman, Barbary Duffy, Jeanie Hill and Max Pollak.

The week ended with an Off-Broadway show starring the 129 SLIDE participants at Theater Four. The show featured music by the Duke Ellington Orchestra under the direction of Paul Mercer Ellington.
