MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Twins game against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday drew the highest cable rating of any regular-season game in the Twins' history.
Minnesota's 5-2 victory on Fox Sports Net had a preliminary overnight 12.0 rating, or 191,364 households of viewership. It was the most watched television program in prime time in the Twin Cities market from 8 p.m. until the end of the game.
Tuesday's viewership broke the previous record set last week against the White Sox in Chicago. The Twins drew a 9.7 rating, or 154,685 households of viewership.
The Twins, who clinched the division on Sept. 15 last season, have been alone in first place for two straight days -- the first time that's happened since June 22-23.
