Firefighters respond

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a car fire Monday at 503 S. Sixth St. in Brainerd.
The fire was reported at 3:45 p.m.
There was a small fire in the heating core of the vehicle owned by Ann Sherman.
The fire department today investigated what turned out to be a false alarm at A-Tek, 11287 Ash Ave.
The alarm was reported at 2:03 a.m.
