ISLE (AP) -- Schools were closed Monday in this central Minnesota community when cooks, bus drivers, custodians and other support staff went on strike at 5:45 a.m.
Superintendent Bruce Novak said administrators hope to resume classes Tuesday by having parents provide bag lunches and drive students to school.
The strike began after four mediation sessions failed to produce an agreement. No talks have been scheduled.
Isle is about 40 miles southeast of Brainerd.
