Former Governor and Mrs. C. Elmer Anderson will be guests at a reception and dinner for former Minnesota governors at the governor's residence in St. Paul. Anderson, currently mayor of Brainerd, said the reception is believed to be the first held for former governors.

The first of some 50 horses arrived in Pillager today for this weekend's 25-mile competitive trail ride and 50-mile in one day endurance ride. Sponsoring the events are the Northern Minnesota Arabian Horses Association and the Pillager Commercial Club.

Henry Johnson of the Johnson Bus Line has made a contribution to the well being of the city in so far as safe driving on streets is concerned, by picking up and giving The Dispatch for exhibition 75 big nails picked up near Front and Sixth Streets.

F.C. Bolin has made a contract with C.B. White to build a barn and hen house to replace the building recently destroyed north of the city. The barn will probably be the most pretentious structure of its kind in the county.
