McEnelly promoted to chief operations officer

BAXTER -- Lindner Media Productions announced Gary McEnelly was promoted to chief operating officer. He has been chief financial officer since the company was established in 2002 and will continue in that role.

McEnelly has extensive experience in the fishing and outdoors industry, including with firms such as Ehlert Publishing Group Inc., the In-Fisherman Communication Network and Nature Vision Inc. As chief operating officer, McEnelly will be in charge of day-to-day operations of the company.

Lakewood Health System hires health information director

STAPLES -- Angela Boothe joined the Lakewood Health System staff as health information director. She will be responsible for all aspects of health information management.

Boothe is originally from Wilsonville, Ala. She was the assistant director of health information management at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga.

Mille Lacs Band appoints commissioner

ONAMIA -- McGregor resident Mary Sue Bohanon recently was sworn in as the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe's assistant commissioner of administration. This is one of seven commissioner posts that represent the cabinet of Chief Executive Melanie Benjamin.

Bohanon will assist commissioner of administration Christine Costello in the day-to-day operations of tribal government, including managing human resources, financing and contracts.

Bohanon has worked for the band for 14 years, including the past 10 years as legislative assistant under Marvin Bruneau, District II representative to the Band Assembly.

She has a bachelor's degree in organizational behavior from the College of St. Scholastica and an associate's degree in liberal arts from Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.

Fundingsland joins Financial Group of Central Minnesota

BAXTER -- Dan Fundingsland, Baxter, joined Financial Group of Central Minnesota in Baxter as a financial planner.

He is a licensed securities representative with Pacific West Securities Inc., and an investment adviser representative with Pacific West Financial Consultants Inc.

He is a licensed investment adviser representative with more than 16 years of experience trading stocks and stock options. He graduated summa cum laude from St. Cloud State University with a degree in finance.

Anderson hired at Creative Hair Design

Kristi Anderson has been hired at Creative Hair Design. She has more than five years of experience.

She will specialize in cuts and colors.

Fox joins American National Bank

The corporate office of American National Bank of Minnesota has hired Ron Fox as its internal auditor. His primary duties, while working out of the offices in Brainerd, will be reviewing the policies, procedures and various financial reporting measures for soundness, safety and authenticity.

He is a graduate of Grand Rapids High School and has an associate in arts degree from Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids.

He has 35 years of banking and accounting experience.

Trees becomes Tastefully Simple Inc. consultant

NISSWA -- Missy Trees, Nisswa, recently became a consultant for Tastefully Simple Inc.

As a consultant and independent business owner, Trees will conduct in-home presentations and markets Tastefully Simple's line of gourmet foods and gifts at home taste-testing parties.

Pampered Chef to help hurricane victims

Throughout September, funds raised through the Pampered Chef's Round-Up from the Heart charitable giving campaign will help provide emergency food assistance to Hurricane Katrina victims.

The Pampered Chef, a longtime partner of America's Second Harvest, the nation's food bank network, is offering a dollar-for-dollar match for all funds raised at Pampered Chef kitchen shows or in-home cooking demonstrations.

Workshops

Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union to host workshop

The Funding Your Business: Startups to Expansion workshop will be 8-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union, 200 S. Sixth St., Brainerd.

Julie Hofius, director of business services at Mid-Minnesota, will present information. She has more than 25 years of experience working with Minnesota businesses. Joining her will be Greg Bergman, director of the Small Business Development Center at Central Lakes College. He has helped businesses begin and grow on a local and regional level since 1989.

This workshop will include a light meal and a question-and-answer period. There are no fees or obligations to attend, but seating is limited. Call 829-0371 to reserve a seat.

Photographer, BHS grad speaks at symposium

Greg Rademacher, a Brainerd High School graduate and co-owner of Rademacher Photography in Prior Lake, spoke at a seminar of the Camera Craftsmen of America.

Rademacher is a member of the international group of photographers whose membership is by invitation only. Membership is limited to 40 worldwide.
