Gopher golfers to visit White House

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The national champion Minnesota men's golf team is scheduled to visit the White House Sept. 24 at a ceremony honoring NCAA champions in 2002 spring sports two months after the school announced it would cut the sport.
