Kids' contest has been started for Sertoma Winter Wonderland light display

The Brainerd Area Sertoma Club has announced the launch of the 2009 Sertoma Winter Wonderland kids' display contest in 13 area schools.

Entry forms and parent teacher letters will be in the hands of the teachers and administrators for distribution on Sept. 28. Students are urged to begin thinking about their prize-winning designs.

Six winners will be chosen and their designs will be made into light displays for the 2009 Sertoma Winter Wonderland at the Northland Arboretum holiday light display tour and will be featured in the Holiday Village.

Parents who want their child to participate can contact the child's school if they do not receive the entry forms. Designs will be judged on Oct. 14 and the winners will be invited to display their designs at the Sertoma Winner's Lunch at Bonanza Restaurant on Oct. 28.
