They're not nominated for any awards, but Cindy and Steve Clough of Baxter are looking forward to seeing the celebrities who make their way down the red carpet at the Emmy Awards Sunday in Hollywood.
The Cloughs, founders and owners of Just For Kix in Baxter, will be in the audience at the Emmy Awards. So will their son, Joel, and his girlfriend, Dana Dickinson.
Cindy Clough said Wednesday that one of her former Just For Kix employees, Kristen Patterson, who is formerly of Wayzata, works in production at the Emmy and other awards shows. Her job during the Emmy Awards is to make sure the production crew knows where all the celebrities and nominees are during the live show. Patterson previously worked at Just For Kix dance games and bowl games for the Cloughs, and has been asking them to go to California for an awards show.
Clough said she recently bought a gown for the awards show and rented tuxes for her husband and son.
"It's not a Vera Wang or anything," Clough said with a laugh, referring to her gown.
Clough said she and her family also will be able to attend the awards show rehearsal Saturday.
Patterson was able to get the Cloughs seats up front while their son and his girlfriend will be seated in the balcony.
"We're very excited, and I'm so proud of Kristen," said Clough.
The 56th annual Primetime Emmy Awards airs at 7 p.m. Sunday on ABC.
