Frank L. Buda Sr.

Frank Louis Buda Sr., age 87, of Brainerd, died on Sept. 13, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul.

He was born on Nov. 9, 1921, in Minneapolis to Louis and Anna (Michalczewska) Buda. He married Margaret "Peggy" White on Aug. 14, 1948, in Minneapolis. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Garrison and the Garrison VFW.

He is survived by two sons, Donald (Cathy) Buda, of Blaine, Frank (Nancy) Buda Jr., of Baldwin, Wis.; two daughters, Linda (Richard) Jones, of Talmoon, and Teresa "Terri" Buda, of North Carolina; one brother, John (Toni) Buda, of Florida; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret "Peggy;" three brothers; two sisters; and one grandson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Garrison with full military honors given by the Garrison VFW. Burial will be at the Garrison Community Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be said prior to the Mass at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
