Pequot Lakes' Lenz third in school history with 125 victories

PINE CITY - Megan Lenz of Pequot Lakes won the 125th match of her career on her way to a second-place finish with Angela Villella at No. 1 doubles in the Pine City tournament Saturday.

Lenz's victory ranks her third all-time in program history.

Aitkin's doubles team of Allie Carlson-Kaitlyn Davies improved to 15-0 on the season by finishing 4-0 to take first at No. 1 doubles.

Amanda Kurtz finished second at No. 4 singles for the Gobblers with a record of 2-1 while Anna Browning took third at No. 2 singles.

At No. 2 doubles for Pequot Lakes, Kirstie Harmdierks and Cori Lundmark finished first with a 4-0 record.

The Patriots' Kaycee Nelson, at No. 3 singles, also collected a second-place finish with a 2-1 record.

Vanessa Hudrlik was the top finisher for Crosby-Ironton at No. 4 singles, taking fifth place.

Two Cardinals second

ST. CLOUD - Abby Edin and Andrea Koskiniemi took second for Staples-Motley with 2-1 records at the St. Cloud Apollo Invite Saturday.

Edin was runner-up at No. 1 singles and Koskiniemi was second at No. 3 singles. Skye Coughlin finished third for the Cardinals.
