Cyril Vogt, age 89

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, Minn., for Cyril Vogt, age 89, who died Saturday at the Assumption Nursing Home in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond.
Cyril was born in Richmond, Minn., to Joseph and Katherine (Brisse) Vogt. He married Teresa Schutz on July 18, 1945, in Assumption Catholic Church, Eden Valley, Minn. Cyril was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He was the owner and operator of Richmond Concrete Products until 1976. Cyril enjoyed his family, hunting and fishing. Cyril was a member Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, Catholic Order of Foresters and the Richmond Legion.
Survivors include his children, Kathryn Weber, of Chanhassen, Robert (Lolly) Vogt, Douglas Vogt, of Richmond, Daniel (Carol) Vogt, of Brainerd; brother, Florenz "Mouse" Vogt; and sister, Ester Schutz; grandchildren, Stephen and John Weber, Paula McGee, Chad, Shari, Joell, Jennifer, Lauren and Justin Vogt; and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Mykayla Evens, Blake Vogt and Ben Weber; and special friend, Lucille Gross.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Teresa, in 1993; and eight brothers and sisters.
