Laura Messerli

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Laura Messerli, age 90, formerly of Pine River, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, in Arlington, Texas. She was born July 18, 1915, in St. Paul to Herman and Dora Nelson.

She is survived by her sons, Phillip, of Arlington, Texas, Timothy (Eleanor), of Arlington, Texas, and David (Dee), of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Lois Anderson, of Bedford, Texas, Eva Joy Clay, of Arlington, Texas; brother, Ralph Nelson, of St. Paul; sister-in-law, Evelyn Messerli, of Pine River; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Rudolph; daughter, Betty Lahm; son, Tom Messerli; two brothers, Evart Nelson and Lawrence Nelson; and one sister, Dorothy Lockheart.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Crosslake Evangelical Free Church in Crosslake with Pastor Jeff Jensen officiating. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery, rural Pine River. Friends may call Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Kline Funeral Home in Pine River and one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home in Pine River.
