Homer Dimmick, a resident of the Ideal Corners area, was recently invited to participate in the Walt Disney World's Festival of the Masters this November. Dimmick, who specializes in water colors, won first place in the 1984 Citrus County Festival of the Arts.

Two students from Brainerd High School and one from Crosby-Ironton were named among the approximately 15,000 students who were semifinalists in the 1976 National Merit Scholarship program. They are Marcia H. Johnson and Susan L. Olson from Brainerd and Kimberly K. Munsch from Crosby-Ironton.

Brainerd's Beatsie Fieldman, playing in a championship flight, claimed women's championship in the 31st annual Madden's Pine Beach Golf Tourney.

Although there were 39 cases of infantile paralysis reported in Minnesota between Jan. 1 and Aug. 1, no such cases were discovered in Crow Wing County it was announced today by Miss Eula Michael, city and school nurse.

Mrs. C.H. Mills has returned from her home at Nisswa, where she has been recovering from a long siege of illness. She is able to be about again and is practically recovered.

Another important real estate transfer has been made in this county in connection with the Cuyuna Range. The Peterson brothers sold their farm, composed of 160 acres, to an eastern mining concern for $3,000 spot cash.
