Practice for the Great River Strings Ensemble's third season will begin Tuesday.
This is open to any string (violin family) musician from beginning to advanced. The beginning musicians now named the Ripple River Strings will practice at 5:30 p.m. The Great River Strings Ensemble will practice at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Great River Chamber Ensemble (advanced) at 8:30 p.m. All practice sessions will be held in the Aitkin High School Band Room.
The first concert of the season will be an all baroque concert, "If It Ain't Baroque, Don't Fix It!" This will feature music of Corelli, Bach, Telemann, Handel and more.
Concerts will be Saturday, Nov. 10, at Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood, and Sunday, Nov. 11, at the St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin. Concerts are free with donations accepted.
