The Brainerd Amateur Hockey Association will sponsor girls' 12 and under and 15 and under teams this season.
Registration is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Brainerd Area Civic Center. BAHA members will be available to answer questions regarding the program.
BAHA also will conduct its annual skate and equipment exchange the same day starting at 6 p.m.

Kohan to speak
Brainerd Warriors girls' soccer coach George Kohan will be the speaker at the Brainerd Sports Boosters Club meeting, which begins noon Friday at the Elks Lodge.
Swimmer Jael Collins, the Warrior Athlete of the Week, will be honored.

STAPLES -- The Staples-Motley Cardinals swimming and diving team lost to Sauk Centre 101-81 Tuesday.
Britta Binek won the 200- and 100-freestyle events. She was also on the winning 400 freestyle relay team with Katie Palmer, Kendell Spar and Abby Palmer.
Spar won the 100 backstroke, Katie Palmer won the 50 freestyle and Abby Palmer won the 200 medley.
Whitefish Association to host golf scramble
The Whitefish Area Lodging Association, in conjunction with Whitefish Golf Course, will sponsor the Greater Whitefish Scramble Sept. 29-30 at the Whitefish Golf Course in Pequot Lakes.
The annual four-person team scramble costs $99 per person and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart Saturday and Sunday, and a Sunday brunch.
Participants may also receive a half-price practice round with golf cart rental Sept. 28.

Pine River results
There were 28 golfers on Sept. 6 for the Pine River Country Club women's league scramble.
First place went to Audrey Lipke, Anne Hager, Carlie Lindstam, Lurene Seaton and Darlene Flattegraff.
Finishing second were Gloria Taylor, Florence Nachbar, Donna Balzer and Maxine Morris.
Israelson finishes 33rd
Bill Israelson of the Vintage Golf Course in Staples finished 33rd at the Page and Tuttle Minnesota PGA Championship Aug. 27-29 at Izaty's Golf and Yacht Club.
Don Berry of Edinburgh USA won the event with a three-round total of 210.

Bud Dietz of Mesa, Ariz., recorded a hole in one Sept. 4 on the 131-yard second hole at the Preserve at Grand View Lodge using a 9 iron.
Todd Holland of Nisswa aced the 150-yard sixth hole on course two at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's Sept. 5 using a 6 iron.
John Colby of Maplewood carded a hole in one on the 167-yard fifth hole of the Marsh Course at the Pines at Grand View Lodge using an 8 iron Sept. 8.
Richard Iacarella of Coon Rapids used a pitching wedge to ace the 110-yard eighth hole of course one at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's.
Michelle Hanson of Sartell aced the 134-yard sixth hole of course two at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's using an 8 iron Aug. 23.
Lakeville's Mike Dahlberg used a pitching wedge for his hole in one Sept. 8 on the 110-yard eighth hole of course one at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's.
Don Heath of New London, shot a hole in one Sept. 8 on the 128-yard second hole of course three at the Legacy Courses at Cragun's using a 9 iron.
Brian Kyllonen of Plymouth aced the 158-yard 16th hole at Golden Eagle Golf Course with an 8-iron.
