Pierz errupts for big win over Kimball

PIERZ - The Pierz Pioneers racked up 344 rushing yards en rout to a 62-0 domination of the Kimball Cubs Friday in Central Minnesota Conference football Friday.

Ten different Pioneers gained at least 10 yards, led by John Omann's 88 yards and two touchdowns on just four carries.

Cody Stangl and Nathan Tomala added 53 yards and one touchdown apiece.

"This was a game where we physically dominated both sides of the line," Pierz coach Leo Pohlkamp said. "With the rainy conditions we had to run the ball and we did it very well."

Travis Kahl rushed for two touchdowns with Shawn Huls, Jake Nelson and Nathan Tomala running in the rest.
