BAXTER -- Daytime lane closures are planned today and Saturday to allow crews to pave the final layer of blacktop on the Highway 210 project.
Motorists traveling on Highway 210 between the junction of Highway 371 in Baxter and the Mississippi River Bridge in Brainerd will be affected.
MnDOT Project Manager Jamie Hukriede said paving crews need two consecutive days to complete the final paving and striping on Highway 210.
"We want to take advantage of the dry weather forecast for this weekend to complete the paving on the mainline," Hukriede said. "Next week, crews will finish paving the side street connections and business entrances to Highway 210."
Crews will work from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. MnDOT said drivers are reminded to slow down and use caution through the construction zone.
