Ernest Knapper
CROSBY -- Ernest Knapper, 79, Crosby, formerly of Baxter, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.
He was born April 4, 1923, in Leader to Daniel and Alice (Erickson) Knapper. He was a member of the Brainerd American Legion.
Survivors include two daughters, Junell Murchie, Georgetown, Calif., and Peggy Hartman, Crosby; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Chuck Knapper, Northfield, Harold Knapper, Brainerd, Marvin Knapper, Dilworth, and Albert Knapper, Moorhead; and two sisters, Alice Granby, Leader, and Marie Ellestad, Pillager.
His wife, LaDonna, and three brothers, Martin, Ervin and George, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd with Father Howard Eisel officiating. Burial will be in Deerwood Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Deerwood American Legion.
Friends may call an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
