BAXTER -- Dawn M. Hall, 51, Baxter, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002, of cancer at home.
She was born Nov. 18, 1950, in DeKalb, Ill., to Harold C. and Dianna J. (Firkins) Vice. She married Allen V. Hall on Sept. 11, 1970, in Pequot Lakes. She was a resident of Baxter for 32 years. She founded Cherrywood Fabrics, a hand-dyed fabric and quilting business, in 1982. Under her direction and ownership, Cherrywood Fabrics grew from a small home-based operation into a company that sold fabrics internationally.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Amy Marohn, Prior Lake, and Katie Hall, St. Louis Park; a son, Neal Hall, Baxter; a granddaughter; her mother and stepfather, Dianna and Pat Woodson, Illinois; her father and stepmother, Harold and DeeDee Vice, Washington; three sisters, Lea Schalow, Coon Rapids, Renee Person, Alaska, and Colleen Vice, Washington; and two brothers, Bret Vice, Alaska, and Frank Vice, Washington.
Her brother, Britt Vice, died earlier.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Baxter with Pastor Dave Grotzke officiating.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd and an hour before services Saturday at the church.
