Brenny named GWC Runner of Week

GRAND FORKS, N.D. University of North Dakota senior Brittany Brenny of Staples has been named Great West Conference Runner of the Week.

Brenny finished first at last Saturday's UND Ron Pynn Classic in Grand Forks, completing the 5-kilometer course in 18:10.07. It was the second straight year she captured medalist honors at the event.

The Fighting Sioux are idle return to competition Sept. 19 at the Woody Green Invitational at the University of Nebraska.
