Louis Hostager, who died in 1952, left $217,050.57 in his will toward the building of the new YMCA in Brainerd. His gift made it possible for the Board of Directors to begin and finally complete the current YMCA building.

Working under floodlights on Roosevelt Field last night the snappy Brainerd Women's Drum and Bugle Corps staged a drill for the entertainment of thousands of spectators. The corps is one of the best in its class in Minnesota.
