Pierz shines at Pine City

PINE CITY - The Pierz Pioneers captured three titles and Pequot Lakes and Aitkin each tallied one at the John Eberhart girls' tennis invitational Friday.

Cassie Banick (No. 3 singles), Jayme Sczublewski (No. 4 singles) and the No. 2 doubles team of Jenny Gritzmacher-Kelsey Schlicting all won titles.

Megan Lenz and Angela Villella netted the No. 1 doubles title by finishing 4-0.

Aitkin's No. 3 doubles team of Ellen Raushel-Elizabeth Mattson won three matches to claim its title.
