Crosby-Ironton swamps Proctor 41-11
CROSBY --The Crosby-Ironton Rangers defeated Proctor for the first time since joining the Sea Range Conference in 1993 with a convincing 41-11 victory over the Rails Friday night.
Kyle Bartels and Ben Baratto each tallied on three yard runs in the first quarter and John Koons added a seven yard dash in the second quarter to give the Rangers a 21-3 halftime lead.
Baratto connected on a 30 yard pass to Gideon Avelsgard in the third quarter and the same combination hooked up for a 19 yard score in the fourth quarter.
Bartels then scored from 66 yards out in the fourth quarter to round out the scoring for C-I.
Baratto was 10-14 passing for 159 yards and two touchdowns and rushed 11 times for 72 yards. Bartels rushed 15 times for 101 yards and Avelsgard caught four passes for 70 yards.
