Martin W. Gavin, veteran agent with the Prudential Insurance Co. has returned after 35 years of service. Gavin joined Prudential in 1939 and has served in the Brainerd area since 1946.

The Brainerd School Board last night authorized Superintendent Whoolery to inform the county board of commissioners that it has no objection to the consolidation of the Merrifield district with Brainerd.

Four ton of scrap rags were gathered in the scrap rag and paper drive in Brainerd on Saturday.
