CROSBY -- Lorraine Helen Midthun, age 75, of Crosby, died on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, in Crosby. She was born on Nov. 17, 1927, in Moose Lake, Minn., to William and Lydia (Lampi) Ukura. She married Clarence Midthun on June 18, 1949, in Crosby. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Past member of the Crosby Fire Department Auxiliary, Past Worthy Matron of the Evergreen Chapter of the order of Eastern Star, Crosby, and Past Guardian of the Crosby Chapter of Jobs Daughters.
She is survived by two sons, Mike (Karen) Midthun and Mark Midthun, all of Crosby; a daughter, Cindy (Pete) Sura of Great Falls, Mont.; a brother, Bill Ukura of Monticello; a sister, Lavonne Pearson of Mora; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Pete, and two sisters, Beverly Ukura and Beatrice Thompson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Friday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Crosby, with the Rev. Paul Mattson officiating. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby at 11 a.m. Saturday. Friends may call on Thursday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4-8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 6 p.m. Friends may also call on Friday one hour prior to services at the church.
