Ann E. Shaw

Ann E. Shaw, 79, Brainerd, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at home.

She was born June 8, 1924, in Swanburg to James and Gertie (Sata) Taylor. She married Thomas M. Shaw on May 26, 1972. She loved spending time with her family and painting.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas; her son, James Nelson, Las Vegas; her daughters, Lynn O'Leary, Phoenix, and Charlotte Thomasoni, Chisholm; her stepson, Kenny Shaw, Baudette; her stepdaughters, Pat Olson and Sharon DeRosier, both of Brainerd; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy (Robert) Plushow, Brainerd; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, two brothers, Peter Taylor and Frank Taylor, and a sister, Frances Ledoux, preceded her in death.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home, Brainerd, with Pastor James Almquist officiating. Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Camp Ripley.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home, Brainerd, and one hour before services Wednesday at Halvorson-Johnson.
