Dorothy L. Thomas
Dorothy Leona Thomas, age 101, Round Lake resident, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Good Samaritan Society-Bethany in Brainerd.
Dorothy was born Jan. 31, 1908, in Chicago to William and Doris (Marsh) Roussey. She married Andrew Thomas Sept. 9, 1933. They would have celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Sept. 9. They moved to Nisswa, Minn., in 1947. In 1958 they moved to Round Lake near Nisswa.
Her parents, one sister and one brother died earlier.
Surviving are her husband Andrew; niece Doris (Al) Borter of Wheaton, Ill.; and many great nieces and great nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa with Father George Zeck officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Nisswa. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Chapel and the hour before services Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are preferred to Good Samaritan Society-Bethany.
