If you answered "yes" to these questions then Kinship Partners has the job for you. Kinship Partners has about 33 kids on our waiting list waiting for partners; some stay on the list longer than others. We have a few harder to match kids who desperately need a mentor.

Cory is one of our harder to match kids. He is 10 years old and very sweet, but he is lower functioning than most 10 year olds. He lives with a single mother who does real good with him, but Cory needs some male influence in his life. Cory likes to go for walks, swim and play board games.

James is another who has been on our waiting list for a while. He lives with a single mother who has mental health issues. James is different than other kids and has a hard time making friends. He is in special ed and doesn't like school much. James doesn't get out much and would like to do just about anything. He has not been exposed to many things. His mother is too busy taking care of herself to spend time with him.

Danny has also been on our waiting list for a long time. Danny is 14 and soon will be too old for our program. He is also lower functioning and lives with his grandparents because his parents are in and out of jail a lot. Danny is a fun kid who enjoys computer games and bike riding. He would like a partner to take him to a football game.
