Julia K. Tepley

STAPLES - Julia Kathryn Tepley, age 99, of Staples, died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 5, 2007, at St. Benedict's Nursing Home in St. Paul. Funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. at Motley Free Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Home of Staples. Interment will be in the Riverside Moran Cemetery in Moran Township, Todd County.

Julia Kathryn Tepley was born to John and Anna (Koppel) Adamek on Aug. 26, 1908, in Fawn Lake Township. She attended rural school. Following her mother's death she lived with her grandparents. She was united in marriage to Jessie Tepley on April 9, 1929, in Fawn Lake Township. She and her husband farmed in Fawn Lake Township for many years and raised their family there. She moved to Motley where she has been a resident and for a short while lived with her children. She was a member of the Motley Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, gardening, raising flowers, fishing and she especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, LeRoy (Betty) Tepley, of Staples, Larry (Nancy) Tepley, of Ham Lake; two daughters, Florence (Don) Carry, of Cushing, Donna (Ron) Koberstine, of Indianapolis, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Edward; two daughters, Joan and Dorothy; two infant children; and two sisters.

Services are entrusted to Brenny Funeral Home, Staples.
