Watercolor paintings and mixed media art by Brainerd's Phyllis Frankum will be on display through September at the Brainerd Public Library.
Frankum wrote in her artist's statement: "I love the outdoors and especially my flowers. I have always liked to paint, so when I retired in 1997 my interest in painting increased."
Phyllis Frankum's watercolor "Green's Point on the Mississippi" is among her work on display this month in the Brainerd Public Library.
Frankum has worked in oil, acrylic and watercolor. Her work has twice been featured on the cover of the Brainerd Community Education brochure. Her grape leaves painting won the Peoples' Choice award at the 2004 Brainerd Art Show.
Tanner sculptural paintings at JAC
AITKIN - "Outside of Time," an exhibit of sculptural paintings by Jim and Jan Tanner, will be on display through Oct. 6 at the Jaques Art Center in Aitkin.
