SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) -- Being governor of Louisiana might be fun, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback and sportscaster Terry Bradshaw said.
"I've thought about it. I would bring some fun back into that place. I'm a Republican. But if that's going to hurt me, I'll go neutral," Bradshaw, who now lives in Texas, said during Tuesday's visit to film anti-litter TV commercials for Keep Louisiana Beautiful and promote his new book, "It's Only A Game."
Whatever Gov. Mike Foster's views on turning over the keys to the governor's mansion to Bradshaw, he did bestow what is deemed a rare honor in his administration: He designated Sept. 4 as Terry Bradshaw Day.

Fox fires, CNN to hire Zahn
NEW YORK (AP) -- Paula Zahn is headed to CNN, where she is expected to anchor a new morning broadcast.
The path was abruptly cleared for Zahn to make a move when she was fired Wednesday from Fox News Channel for what that network called breach of contract. Fox News is charging that Zahn's agent, Richard Leibner, violated the pact by talking to CNN.
CNN Chairman Walter Isaacson said nothing improper happened.
"I'm looking forward to signing with CNN," Zahn said. "I'm thrilled." Zahn, 45, had been with Fox News Channel since March 1999.
After anchoring Fox News' evening newscast for several months, she was given a weeknight news-talk hour, "The Edge." Her last appearance was Tuesday night.
