Mile musings: "Lemonade Is what you can make with lemons and that is what we had to do today. The lemons occurred when the suburban wouldn't start in the early afternoon. Lisa had gone ahead and was waiting for us at a trail stop to make sure the trail was in good condition. It was exceptional for crushed limestone and the day was going great. Fabulous weather, low 70s and no humidity. We were still on the upgrade side of the continental divide but making progress. Lisa met us before the parking lot area with the statement the car will not start ... we came back to our vehicle almost done ... It seemed like the day was shot, but we still had daylight, energy, and more miles to get done. We drove back to the car break point, and got back at it. I am so glad we went back to it. It was an actually fun part of the trail. A 3,300 foot lighted tunnel through the mountain. The Eastern Continental Divide, views that were amazing and only down hill for all of the last miles."
