I volunteer because: I like to keep busy and I like to help others and see the smiles on their faces when I help them.
My most rewarding volunteer experience: Working at the Crow Wing County Jail teaching women inmates to make quilt blocks. Most times they do not even know how to sew, so I start with the basics, and then the thrilling look they have when they have accomplished a quilt block, and knowing that I have helped in someway improve their lives as I do keep in touch with a few of them.
Nominated by: Marshall Prescott - Crow Wing County Jail
