FIRES

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a few calls over the past few days beginning at 1:44 p.m. Thursday to Kiwanis Park in Brainerd, but they were canceled en route.

At 1:20 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a home at 511 D St. to rescue a woman who was trapped in a window. The name of the woman was unknown.

Then at 12:49 a.m. Saturday, firefighters checked on a dryer at a residence at 1015 13th Ave. N.E.
