CROSBY -- Hallett Community Center in Crosby is hosting the second annual Hunting and Fishing Expo on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Expo will feature pointing dogs, antler measurers, taxidermy, local fishing pro Bob Hanson, bow tuning and draw weight check and more.

JV volleyball team loses

Rocori defeated the Brainerd Warriors 25-12, 25-23, 15-10 in junior varsity volleyball Thursday.

Paige Olson and Hannah Fossum each had four kills. Jennifer Niklaus and Anna Johnson each had five set assists. Kari Jensen, Kelsey Rassatt and Joetta Johnson each had three digs.

Warrior sophomores defeat Alexandria

The Brainerd Warriors sophomore football team defeated the Alexandria Cardinals 30-26 Thursday at Adamson Field.

The Warriors scored on a 67-yard run by Matt Siegel, who ran for the 2-point conversion.

James Strand scored on a 3-yard run and Mike Baker ran for the 2-point conversion.

Baker scored the Warriors' third touchdown on an 11-yard run.

Offensive tackle Ryan McKay recovered a fumble in the end zone for the last Warrior touchdown and Strand ran in the 2-point conversion.

Brainerd (1-1) rolled up 415 total yards behind an impressive performance by the offensive line. The Warriors host Bemidji next Thursday at 5 p.m.

JV tennis team wins four matches

The Brainerd Warriors junior varsity tennis team won four matches against St. Cloud Apollo Thursday.

Chelsea Williams won at singles. Doubles winners were the teams of Carolyn Despot-Jessica Lofrano, Abby Ahlberg-Arial Aakhus and Carmen Cummings-Becca Dornan.
