Marian Stumpf

LITTLE FALLS -- Marian Stumpf, 83, Little Falls, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.

She was born March 25, 1919, in Agram Township to John and Cecilia (Otremba) Hesch. She married Edwin Stumpf on Dec. 15, 1942, in Pierz. After they married, they moved to Florida. He served in the Army. They moved back to Pierz in December 1945. They took over the John Hesch farm until 1949. They farmed in Morrison County until 1954. They then moved to Little Falls and later purchased a beer distributorship, Stumpf Beverage, until 1977. She was a member of Christian Mothers, 500 Card Club for 50 years and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Charlene Doschka, Boise, Idaho, Mary Lou Hren, East Gull Lake, Carol Ann Cave, Brainerd and Doris Uloth, Burnsville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A son, Gerald Stumpf, and a grandchild, died earlier.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Brenny-Simonet Funeral Home, East Chapel, in Little Falls with Christian Mothers praying the rosary and American Legion Auxiliary at 5 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. and from noon until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
