Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday on South Sixth Street at Maple Street.
Injured were the drivers of both vehicles, Jason Coventry, 20, Brainerd, and Tammie Heibaugh, 24, Brainerd.
The Brainerd Police Department reported Coventry was southbound on South Sixth Street and Heibaugh was eastbound on Maple, crossing South Sixth Street.
Coventry's vehicle, attempting to stop, left 104-foot skid marks before hitting the drivers-side of Heibaugh's vehicle. Several witnesses reported Coventry was traveling at speeds of more than 50 mph, the police department reported.
Coventry was treated at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd and released. Heibaugh was treated and St. Joseph's Medical Center and tranferred to St. Cloud Hospital, where today she was reported in fair condition.
Brainerd Fire Department and North Ambulance assisted at the accident scene.
