The Business and Industry Center at Central Lakes College, Brainerd, is offering Advanced Outlook 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 28 in C222 of the Brainerd campus.
Did you know that you can customize your Outlook calendar? Would you like to be able to schedule and manage calendar events and activities, customize its appearance, and set up out-of-office notices ahead of time?
Outlook 2007 has stationery, templates, and forms which will allow you to customize your e-mail messages. Have you used the task feature? This feature allows you to prioritize and track your tasks. And, you can create and manage your journals and notes associated to phone calls, projects, meetings, and more.
Heidi Purdy is the instructor. The course fee is $59.

Mille Lacs Band donates $38,163
ONAMIA - The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe donated $38,163 in monetary and in-kind contributions to a variety of nonprofit organizations and other charitable causes in July.
Every month, the band contributes to community programs in Minnesota and nationwide. So far in 2010, the band has donated a total of $380,687.
In July, the Mille Lacs Band donated $5,000 each to the Northstar Problem Gambling Alliance and the Minnesota Department of Human Services. The donations will support initiatives and resources for individuals with compulsive gambling addictions. The band donates annually to programs like these.
Other notable contributions included those to the Angel of Hope animal shelter in Sandstone, the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in Saint Paul, and the Huntington's Disease Society of America in Fridley.
In July, the band donated to organizations and causes in the Minnesota counties of Aitkin, Anoka, Benton, Blue Earth, Big Stone, Carlton, Carver, Cass, Chisago, Crow Wing, Dakota, Dodge, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, LeSueur, Martin, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Mower, Olmsted, Otter Tail, Pine, Ramsey, Rice, Sherburne, Saint Louis, Stearns, Todd, Washington, and Wright counties.
The band also donated in the Wisconsin counties of Burnett, Clark, Chippewa, Douglas, Eau Claire, Monroe, Saint Croix, and Trempealeau; in Hancock County, Iowa; in Cook County, Illinois; and in Thunder Bay District, Ontario, Canada.
Each month, the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe and its businesses make monetary and in-kind contributions to community organizations including schools, hospitals, law enforcement agencies, food shelves, and others.
Horizon Health receives donation
PIERZ - Bridget Britz, executive director of Horizon Health Inc., received donation from Ride for the Mind Members Darlene Bednar, Kathy Koss-Gocken and Sally Kloss
Representatives of the 2010 Alzheimer's Motorcycle Ride for the Mind presented Horizon Health Inc., with a check for $2,260.00 from some of the proceeds of their recent charity fundraising event.
The Annual Alzheimer's Motorcycle Ride for the Mind raises money for the research and aid of those inflicted with Alzheimer's disease. This year marked the sixth annual bike rally that took place in central Minnesota and has been very successful in helping raise money for the cure. Horizon Health, Inc., a local nonprofit, will use the funds for the programs, services and education in the community.
