Johnson's TDs power Aitkin past Two Harbors

AITKIN - Sam Johnson's two second-half touchdowns sparked the Aitkin Gobblers in the second half as they overcame a 13-point deficit to defeat the Two Harbors Agates 20-13 in non-conference action Thursday.

Johnson led the Gobblers in rushing with 119 yards on 17 attempts. Cody Fossum carried the ball four times for 43 yards and a touchdown and led the team with 76 receiving yards.

Quarterback-strong safety Andrew Welshons completed 9 of 14 passes for 171 yards, converted two of three extra-point kicks and clinched the win for the Gobblers as he intercepted a pass to end a late drive by the Agates.
