Car hits bank

An elderly woman escaped injury after she collided with the U.S. Bank building at 320 S. Sixth St. about 3 p.m. Thursday, the Brainerd Police Department reported. The woman told police she was backing out of a parking spot at the bank and the accelerator stuck. Her car was totaled. The building was not damaged. Brainerd Dispatch/Kelly Humphrey
