Rick Carlisle was hired as the Indiana Pacers' new coach, three years after the former assistant was bypassed in favor of Isiah Thomas.

Carlisle, coach of the Detroit Pistons the past two years, was fired by the Pistons in May.

Bills ink Milloy

Four-time Pro Bowl safety Lawyer Milloy agreed in principle to a deal with the Buffalo Bills, a day after the New England Patriots released him for salary cap reasons.

Milloy reportedly signed a four-year deal worth $15 million, including a $5 million signing bonus.
