Gloria A. Sandstrom

Gloria Almeda Sandstrom, age 83, resident of Brainerd since 1950, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village. Gloria was born April 30, 1925, in Trade Lake, Wis., to Hugo and Ida (Dahlberg) Johnson. She married Harold Johnson in Lindstrom, Minn., on June 13, 1944. Gloria was a member of First Lutheran Church in Brainerd.

Survivors include her children, LeRoy (Ann) Sandstrom, of Rochester, Minn., Bruce (Jane) Sandstrom, of Roseville, Minn., Colleen (Jim) Rau, of Nisswa, Minn., Robyn (Steve) Rudek, of Nisswa, Minn.; nine grandchildren; two stepgranddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1987; her parents; three sisters; and one grandson.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with the Rev. Kristin Oltmann officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials are preferred.
