PEQUOT LAKES -- Raymond "Tom" Lenz, 88, Pequot Lakes, formerly of Glencoe, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at home.
He was born Dec. 4, 1913, in Brownton to Michael and Hedwig (Henke) Lenz. He was a veteran of the Army during World War II. He married Anna (Edna) Pulkrabek on Oct. 8, 1947, in Silver Lake. He worked for Fairway Foods in Minneapolis for more than 25 years until his retirement in 1974. In 1976 he moved to Ideal Corners. He was a member of the Pequot Lakes American Legion, Jenkins VFW and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ronald Lenz, Cable, Wis., Roger Lenz, Brooklyn Center, and Robert Lenz, Darwin; a daughter, Renee Polzin, Glencoe; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A brother, and a sister, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake with Father Dennis Hoffman officiating. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday with prayer services at 7 p.m. at Kline Funeral Home in Pine River.
