Compared to Thursday, not enough slaughter steers, heifers or Holstein steers offered to test prices. Small supply slaughter cows steady in a very light test. Slaughter bulls scarce. Near 150 feeders expected for auction.

Steers: At midweek, Choice 2-3 1,150-1,450 lbs. 62.30-63.75.

Holstein Steers: At midweek, Choice 2-3 1450-1750 lbs. 60.85-63.00.

Heifers: At midweek, Choice 2-3 1000-1300 lbs. 62.60-63.80.

Cows: Percent Lean Weight Bulk Low Dressing

Breakers 70-80 percent lean over 1100 lbs. 43.00-46.50; Boners 80-85 percent lean over 1,050 lbs. 40.00-44.00 36.00-40.00; Lean 85-90 percent lean over 850 lbs. 33.00-39.50 29.00-33.00.

Bulls: Yield Grade 1-2 1,550-2,050 lbs. 44.00-49.00.

For the week: Compared to last weeks closing sales, slaughter steers and heifers .50 to 1.00 lower. Holstein steers .50 to 1.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 lower. Bulls steady to weak.
