Former MnSCU trustee riding bike to all campuses
Former Minnesota State College and University trustee Bob Erickson, now a trustee with the MnSCU Foundation, for the third straight year will ride his bike to all 32 MnSCU campuses to build awareness of the limited funding available to part-time students within the system.
In addition to raising awareness, he will raise money for scholarships for these students and provide an opportunity for each campus to raise money around this issue.
To date, nearly $200,000 has been generated for scholarships for part-time students from around the state through his ride.
Erickson will leave the Staples campus of Central Lakes College at 8 a.m. Tuesday to ride 35 miles to the Brainerd campus of CLC, arriving at 11 a.m.
He'll then travel 70 miles from Brainerd to St. Cloud, where he'll stay overnight.
