PIERZ -- A 20-year-old Pierz man was injured Sunday in an all-terrain vehicle accident on Highway 25, one mile south of Pierz.

A 24-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation in downtown Brainerd Saturday.

FIRE
The Brainerd Fire Department responded at 3:26 a.m. Monday to Just for Kix, 1650 College Drive in Baxter, for what turned out to be a false alarm.

The Brainerd Fire Department responded about 11:56 a.m. Sunday to a residence on the 6000 block of Calcutta Road in Baxter after the homeowner reported an electric wire may have been hit with a curtain rod. Firefighters checked out the house and found no signs of fire.

Courts
Nathan David Habiger, 21, Ironton, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor DUI to 30 days jail, placed on three years supervised probation and fined $900.

GARRISON -- Four people were injured in two separate accidents Saturday on Highway 18, at Crow Wing County Road 10, west of Garrison.

Man sentenced in shooting incident
A Brooklyn Park man who pleaded guilty to second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon in connection with a January shooting incident at the Holiday Station Store in downtown Brainerd was sentenced to seven years probation and fined $50.
