Sabres spear Flyers

SARTELL - Ryan Thilquist and Taylor Bones each reached the end zone for the Little Falls Flyers as they fell in their season opener to the Sartell Sabres 47-14 Friday.

Little Falls was scoreless until the second quarter when Ron Kornbaum connected with Thilquist for a 58-yard touchdown pass. Kornbaum threw for 94 yards and the score on 5-of-12 passing.

Bones, Aaron Gastecki, and Eddie Wenzel combined for 51 rushing yards.
