Just For Kix dancers from five states, including dancers from Brainerd's studio, performed Aug. 9-12 at Disney Magic Music Days at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Brainerd Just For Kix dancer Hannah Spitzley was among the third- and fourth-graders to perform "It's a Small World."
The dancers came together at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, where they learned routines to perform at Epcot Center.
Dancers were taught a performance dance within their grade levels, learned a finale, worked with Disney dancers and choreographers and enjoyed family time at the theme park.
Brainerd Just For Kix dancers and staff members who visited Disney World earlier this month included Cheylin Niemeyer (front), Hannah Spitzley (middle left), Hannah Anderson, Megan Sharockman, Jamie Thiffault (back left), Brianna Niemeyer, Emily Breitling, Jessica Williams, Cindy Clough and Ali Clough.
The final product was a performance with all dancers coming together to perform in front of a large crowd. At the end of the tour, a banquet was hosted for all dancers and their parents at Isle de France with a fireworks show.
Dance numbers included "Princesses on Parade" (grades 1-2), "It's a Small World" (grades 3-4), "Hey Mickey" (grades 5-6), "Wish Upon a Star" (grades 7-9) and the finale, "Zippity Do Dah."
